Hello!

I’m Ruth Baldwin, I have been dancing with Cath’s Classes, as a participant and an instructor for over 10 years.

When I joined I was a 30 something mum of 2, overweight and looking to get healthy whilst having fun. I found exactly what I needed in Cath’s Classes. I lost weight, I made good friends, I improved my health and mental wellbeing. I felt happy, free and able to ‘dance like no one was watching’.

I qualified as an instructor in 2017 and I’ve never looked back. Whether you are looking to improve your fitness levels, lose weight, de-stress, make friends or just have some fun – you’ve come to the right place.

About Cath’s Classes

Cath Gerrish established Cath’s Classes in 2009, building her business around her passion for exercise, health and nutrition. Cath was vibrant, inclusive, energetic and motivated, creating a large community following as well as teaching classes at local gyms and health clubs.

Sadly Cath developed breast cancer at the age of 29 and despite fighting bravely she tragically lost her battle with cancer in September 2021 aged 35. Cath left a huge hole in the fitness/exercise community and is missed by many.

Cath’s legacy lives on and her friend Ruth who, with Cath’s encouragement trained as an instructor in 2017 has taken on teaching the dance & fitness community classes. Keeping the classes going as a tribute to a person who created something very special and will never be forgotten.
